The Nuclear Physics Series features distinguished nuclear physicists explaining the latest research being done with the complex and interesting physics surrounding the atomic nucleus. Past seminars have included topics such as particle-nucleon interactions, lattice QCD, and meson decay. Some seminars are coordinated with the joint seminars of the Experimental Nuclear Physics Group and the Theory Group for Quarks, Hadrons and Nuclei of the University of Maryland at College Park.
A project of the Institute for Security and Conflict Studies, the Nuclear Policy Talks (NPT) is a conversation about the dangers posed by nuclear weapons and appropriate responses for the 21st Century. Several NPT events have been conducted in partnership with GW's Security Policy Forum, Homeland Security Policy Institute, and School of Media and Public Affairs, as well as external partners including U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP) and Global Zero.
